Kinokan is a personal fantasy story and world-building project in which various tribes of various mythical races from an island of the same name must put their differences aside and combine their strengths to fight against mysterious dark creatures born from the sudden changes of their environment's climate.

Before an event called the "Great Cold", the island of Kinokan was full of life and flourishing, thanks to the Vol' Kino, a giant lava-spouting crater located at the center of the island which, not only used to provide light and warmth to the people and creatures inhabiting the island, but also used to make the "mist", an ever propagating dark cloud of corruption surrounding the island, heat up and dissipate, protecting the living beings on the island.

The so-called Great Cold was a mysterious event causing the Vol' Kino to stop pouring its very needed source of light and warmth across the island, causing its fauna to freeze and its people to battle against the creatures born from the expanding the cold mist.
